Responsibilities
- Liaise directly with the Lead Programmer and
Technical Director to develop the online networking and server
infrastructure for a large scale PC based MMOG.
- Develop server based game modules.
- Develop tools, systems and game technology required
for an MMOG in C++ and custom script languages.
Requirements
- Strong C/C++ skills.
- Experience developing for networked and/or online
game systems.
- Ability to work within an existing code framework
and/or create new technology from the ground up.
- Excellent written and oral communication
skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Strong knowledge of common software design
patterns.
- Tertiary qualifications in a computing related field
- Computer Science degree or similar.
- Experience working on a team.
Plusses
- Previous commercial experience working as a game
programmer.
- Prior experience working on an MMOG.
- Linux, MySQL or SQL Server experience.
- Knowledge of Object Database
technologies.
- Good general SQL skills.
- Experience with multithreaded application
development and debugging.
- Experience working with scripting
languages/systems.

Job Description
The Environment Artist main responsibility is to create Worlds and the
objects they contain. He/She will work on the creation of high and low
resolution mesh to both an artistic as well as a technical brief closely with
Designers, Concept Artists and Art Director. The Environment Artist is an
expert in advanced 3d packages and modern digital painting processes. They have
a proven understanding of lighting concepts and are familiar with game
lighting, vertex and texture baking processes.
Environment Artists are required to create maps for common shader passes
such as normal and specular maps. They are also responsible for damage states,
props and game data creation such as collision or occlusion zones.
Requirements
- A strong technical background in MAX, Photoshop/Painter or equivalent
software.
- Solid understanding of 3D art processes/pipelines for games
production.
- The ability to work under the guidance and direction of the Game and Art
Directors.
- The ability to work toward timelines.
- Good communication skills.
- A passion for making and playing of online games.
- A love for team/collaborative work.
- Unreal3 experience a plus
Having shipped some games is a plus, but not necessary. Junior, Mid-level
and Senior positions available. If you are a student or graduate we require a
strong portfolio in your chosen disciple. Artists providing direct links to
online samples will be considered first!

Job Description
The User Interface Artist we are looking for must have intimate
understanding of interface in a game context and must be able to visualize the
perfect connection between player and game. The UI Artist works with the Art
Director, UI programmers and designers to provide clarity for the player. They
must have a strong passion for the latest trends in Interface design, as well
as strong interest in the latest trends in media presentation and graphic art
developments.
Applicants will have a strong portfolio of art and will ideally have had
experience as a web or graphic designer.
They must possess a strong understanding of lighting, shape and colour. They
must also be a straight thinker who can handle complex interfaces.
Unreal3 and 3d experience is a plus, but not required.
Requirements
- A strong technical background in Photoshop and Illustrator software.
- Good illustration, composition, shape, colour and lighting knowledge.
Traditional art training is a plus.
- The ability to work under the guidance and direction of the Game and Art
Directors.
- The ability to work to timelines.
